Abstract: The authors made corresponding contemplation of the historical development of sports competition management, put forward that in an informatization society the informatization of sports competition mnagement is an inevitable trend of development, and drew the following conclusions: in the process of interaction between sports informatization and sports competition management, sports informatization can make sports competition manage-ment more systematic, precise, simple and human, thus boosting the development of sorts competition management; moreover, as for sports competition management, sports informatization can further complicate its contents, extend its scope and routinize its process, and raise new problems for sports competition management; the authors called for the upgrading of sports informatization technology in order to take new challenges, and ultimately to promote the development of sports informatization objectively.Key words: sports informatization；sports management；competition management
